What is a General Election?

General Elections are held in even years to elect US and State Representatives.

Presidential Elections are held during every other General Election.

The Off-Year Election is the General Election that is not a Presidential Election.


The office of US President is a 4 year term.

US Senate is a 6 year term. In 2024 Oregon will not have a US Senate candidate.

Oregon State Senate is a 4 year term.

US and State Representative are both 2 year terms.
